え?　会期終了から二週間近くたってしまいました。
ぱらぱらマンガ喫茶展vol.3に来てくださったお客様　本当にありがとうございました。

会期中に少しずつ参加アーティスト全員の作品をご紹介できたらと思っていたのですが　忙しさにかまけてなかなかそれもかないませんでした。ようやくその時間も出来ましたので　多少なりともご紹介できたらと思います。また　凝られなかった方にも　どんな作品が集まったのか少しでもお伝えできればと思います。

So our Flipbook Exhibition vol.3 was succesfully finished on March 22nd, and I am really greatful for our customers who came to see our artworks.

But still, there are lots of people who could not come to the exhibition, especially my friends in the U.S. or other countries, so for those poeple I would like to introduce our pieces on this blog eventually.

1)ばじぃさん/Bazzy:『うらにわには…』/"In the backyard..."



どでかいポストイットに描かれた一品です。うらにわに生えて来たのは、、、？

A cute flipbook drawn on a big post it papers. The last part is a Japanese joke of "niwa(garden)" and "haniwa(clay-made doll that ancient people used for praying)."

2)稲田陽一さん/Yoichi Inada:"PIECE OF SPRING"





稲田さんの作品はいつもそうですが　めくった時の動きや変化に快感を感じます。美的センスとでもいうのかな。花畑が蝶々の群れに変化する、、、、単純なようで　美しい！

You can always feel some sence of comfortableness in the movement or beauty in the metamorforces in Yoichi Inada's flipbooks. This piece just shows the transformation from flower garden to butterflies but it makes you feel you would like to keep the beauty of it.

3)こやまけいこさん/Keiko Koyama:『忍びの庭』/"Ninja Garden"





こやまけいこさんの作品は　キュートなデザインのキャラクターと　ダイナミックな展開がいいですねー。忍びの特訓を続ける忍者くんの先に待ち受けるのは！？

Keiko Koyama's piece has cutsy characters and the dynamic development with humor. Ninjas train themselves by jumping grasses which grow really quickly, the guy here is doing the same training and then what comes next to the grass...?

4)はら　たかしさん/Takashi Hara

『うまうま園』/"Yummy Garden"



『ぱおぱお園』/"Elephant Garden"


はら　たかしさんは根っからのＣＧ屋さんなのに　素敵な絵を描かれるのですね！作品は　二つ。『うまうま園』は食べるものと食べられるもののお話。『ぱおぱお園』は思いもよらぬ展開になっとりますぞ。

Takashi Hara is a CG artist at this very famous game company, but as you can see, his talent is not just tied to it. One of his piece "Yummy Garden" is about a humorous relation between the victim and the predator, and "Elephant Garden" shows you an unpredictable scenes.

5)PIXEL ANIMATION

"Flower Ride"




"Garden"


『Flower Ride』は　なんと銅版画で作られた作品です。しかも　手前のアリさんと奥の植物とは処理の仕方が違うんですって。めちゃめちゃ手間がかかっていますね?！
『Garden』は　男の人の影が変化して、、、という作品。どちらも　シュールでブラックな感じ。

"Flower Ride" is surprisingly made by copperplate prints, and the artist used different techniques to the ant and the background. Just imagine how much work has put into one flipbook!!!

Both of the pieces has surrealistic, dark humor in them.


6)オグリヒデト/Hideto Oguri:"Para Mower"




『Para Mower』、日本名『パラカル』はパラパラマンガ＋芝刈り機！中のパラパラマンガの中身もウサギさん！黒ウサたんは　楽しく芝刈りしてるのかな？

"Para" in "Para Mower" means "flip." So it is a lawn mower with flipbook!! The content of it is a rabbit running around and I guess the black bunny is enjoying mowing...?
